I am Rhonda McLelland and an amateur landscape photographer. While I am currently use a medium format digital camera, Canon EOS R5 DSLR, I have done color and black & white film photography including developing and printing my own black & white images. In 2015, when my last child graduated high school, I returned to college to earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Business. After 2 years into the program and a 30-day study abroad trip to Belgium, I realized I wanted a degree in something I hadn’t been doing for over 30 years. I promptly changed my major to Photography as I transferred to ASU. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art – Digital Photography from ASU in 2021 during the height of COVID-19. I started taking pictures when I was about 10 when my dad first acquired a canon film camera. I have taken all types of images including portraiture, architectural, macro, videos and lifestyle, my passion is around capture nature at and turning a lifeless subject into something captivating.

My inspiration has been Ansel Adams since the first time I saw his images of Half Dome and El Capitan and have done several research projects on him personally and his work.
